Acceptable Use Policy

TMailr exists so people can keep their real address private and so senders can find out why their mail fails. It is not a tool for hiding from consequences. This policy is part of the terms of service.

The spirit of it

Use the service for privacy, testing and building, not to harm another person or to get around a rule that applies to you. Where a line below is a matter of judgement, that is the judgement we apply.

Conduct that is not allowed

Evading a ban, suspension or block on any service, or a court order or sanctions regime.
Creating accounts in someone else's name, or impersonating a person or business.
Fraud, phishing, or receiving material connected to either.
Pointing a masked alias at a mailbox that is not yours.
Receiving, storing or distributing unlawful content, including anything that exploits or endangers a child.
Anything illegal under the law that applies to you, or to Bolrach Technologies Limited.

Security and the system

Do not probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service or the network it runs on.
Do not automate bulk creation of inboxes, or try to work around our rate limits. The limits are part of the product.
Do not attempt to read an inbox, alias or sandbox you were not given the link or key to.

Genuine security research is welcome and has its own path on the security page; do that instead of testing against other people's data.

Deliverability testing

Test only domains you are responsible for. Our test addresses exist to measure your own mail, not to probe somebody else's, and using them to send unsolicited mail or to map another party's systems is a breach.

What we do about it

We apply the narrowest measure that solves the problem, such as blocking inbox creation from one source while leaving everything else working. Serious or repeated abuse ends access altogether. Where the law requires us to act, or to preserve records, we do; where explaining a measure would help an attacker, we may not.

If a TMailr address has been used against you or your service, the report-abuse page tells us what we need to act. Formal legal and law-enforcement requests go to legal@tmailr.com.
