Can anyone else read this inbox?
No. It opens with the secret link in your address bar, never with the email address itself. Most disposable-mail sites show an inbox to anyone who types the address, which is why people have found strangers’ password resets on them.
How long does it last?
An hour by default, and you can extend it. When it expires the messages are deleted, not archived: a sweep runs continuously and our own health check fails if anything is still sitting there past its deadline.
Do I need an account?
No account, no card, nothing to install. Keep the link if you want to come back to the same inbox, because it is the only way in.
Will the verification code arrive here?
Yes, and it is pulled out and shown at the top with a copy button. Sign-in links are shown too, with the real destination visible before you click anything.
Can I reply from it?
No. A throwaway inbox receives only. If you need an address you can keep and control, use a masked alias instead: it forwards to your real mailbox and you can switch it off if it leaks.
