What decides whether Gmail delivers to the inbox
A deliverability score can only guess where a provider files your mail. This test reads a real Gmail inbox and tells you the answer, inbox or spam, plus the SPF, DKIM and DMARC verdict Gmail itself recorded. Here is what moves that decision.
Authentication comes first
Gmail checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC before it reads a word. A failing or unaligned check is the most common reason a legitimate message is filtered, and the easiest to fix.
Then reputation
The sending domain and IP carry a history with Gmail. A new or lightly used domain has none, so warm it up gradually and send only to people who asked to hear from you.
Then engagement
Opens, replies and "not spam" clicks lift you; deletes and complaints sink you. Placement is per-recipient, which is why this test reads a real inbox rather than handing you a number.

Why does Gmail send my email to spam?
Gmail weighs authentication first (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), then the sending domain and IP reputation, then how recipients have engaged with your mail. A message can be perfectly written and still be filtered if it fails alignment or comes from a domain Gmail does not yet trust. This test shows which side of that line you are on.
What is the difference between this and the deliverability test?
The deliverability test reads what our own mail server observed when a message arrived. This one delivers to a real Gmail mailbox and reads what Gmail actually did, including the one thing only Gmail knows: inbox or spam placement.
Does landing in the inbox here guarantee the inbox for everyone?
No. Placement is per-recipient and shifts with your reputation and each mailbox’s own history with you. Landing in this test means the technical setup is right, which is the part you control; it does not promise every Gmail user for all time.
How do I get out of the Gmail spam folder?
Fix authentication first: SPF and DKIM passing with DMARC alignment removes the most common reason to filter. After that it is reputation, send to people who asked for it, keep complaints low, and warm a new domain up gradually.
